What is an E-liquid ?

Your Standard E Liquid uses base ingredients consisting of PG (Propylene Glycol) and VG (Vegetable Glycerin). PG and VG are combined with natural or artificial flavours in an almost vast variety, which means you’ll besure to find something you will love !. Our e-liquids have a variety of PG / VG ratios from your standard 50PG / 50VG upto a 70VG / 30PG as well as higher VG blends. For example thicker e liquids are designed for sub ohm devices which are higher powered, thicker e liquids contain more VG which give more vapour Most thicker e liquids come in shortfill bottles for example in a 120ml bottle containing 100ml of 0mg eliquid, leaving sufficient space for one 10ml nicotine shots to be added for a total nicotine strength of 3mg or two nicotine shots to make
it 6mg.

E-Liquid is the flavoured mixture that is added to your e-cigarette. The vape juice is added to the vape tank section of your kit, and when heated the flavoured liquid evaporates and creates a water based vapour that is inhaled and exhaled. Eliquids are made up 4 key ingredients with the addition of nicotine,

Food Grade Flavouring
Propylene Glycol
Vegetable Glycerin
Freebase nicotine or Nic Salt

What are PG and VG Ratios?

These are the two core ingredients used in making e-liquid PG and VG. Inside each bottle of e-liquid 85% of the liquid solution is Glycerin/Glycol (PG & VG), the remaining 15% is made up of the flavouring and nicotine. When buying an eliquid its important to check the mix of PG and VG proportions, with common mixtures including 70 percent PG and 30 percent VG, 50 percent PG and 50 percent. There are a few inbetween however there not as common. When it comes to buying e-liquids look out for the PG/VG is marked as a ratio as this is important when it comes to vaping.

What is Propylene Glycol or PG?

Propylene Glycol is a clear, flavourless liquid that has a similar viscosity to that of water. PG is the ingredient within e-liquid that gives a throat hit and also serves to carry the flavour. The higher the PG the more the flavour.

Higher PG e liquid is usually used in lower powered, for example mouth to lung pen devices as its thinner viscosity and is easier to vaporise than VG. High PG liquids are typically formulated for higher nicotine strength, and will give a closer replication of a traditional cigarette therefore are more popular with first time vapers. PG is used in a variety of different uses and is used as a solvent for food colors and flavors aswell in the paint and plastics industries

What is Vegetable Glycerin or VG?

Vegetable Glycerin has a much thicker consistency and is made from a Vegetable base. Vegetable Glycerin has a syrup like sweetish taste and is the ingredient within the e liquid mixture that’s responsible for producing the clouds itself. High VG e liquid is formulated for more advanced and powerful e-cig kits, as the thicker liquid consistency means it takes more heat to evaporate. Vaping a high VG e-liquid will give you much larger and denser clouds of vapour. Many dessert flavoured e liquid require higher powered devices due to the VG/PG blend.Common items that VG can be extracted from coconuts and palm oil and is used in creams, lotions, bath salts aswell as eliquids.

What are the different types of e-liquid?

The in evergrowing e liquids market there is a high range of e-liquid types and with that so many to choose from it came become confusing, here at were happy to help decide which type is right for you and your vape kit.

Here are the types of e-liquid available to vapers :

50/50 or 60VG/40PG (or High PG)

These types of e liquids are formlated for lower powered MTL style kits, for example pod kits or MTL starter kits. We recommend to always use a high PG ratio e-liquid when starting vaping with these kind of devices as these vape juices with nicotine are the most popular types for beginner vapers, This is becuase they closely replicate the sensation of a cigarette and are available in a a variaty of strengths such as 3mg, 6mg, 12mg and 18mg. Please note 50/50 or 60/40 e liquids which contain nicotine are only sold in a 10ml bottle size due to the TPD vape law.

70VG/30PG (or high VG)

Designed to be used with sub-ohm tanks and higher powered vape kits. VG is a thick, sweet syrup like liquid and will provide you with denser clouds of vapour and aswell as intense flavour. The thicker consistency of high VG liquids means that basic starter kit or MTL Kit / coil cannot properly absorb the liquid, which in turn would give a poor vaping experience. Sub-ohm liquids generally will not come in a strength higher than 6mg due to the throathit. Generally they come in 0mg shortfills and require nicotine booster shots. There are a few exceptions.

Nic Salts / Nicotine Salt

Nic Salts vaporise at a much lower temperature and are generally used in lower powered MTL kits and a select few starter kits. Nic salts are made with using nicotine salts instead of conventional freebase nicotine. The salts help to give a much smoother vape with a softer throat hit even at higher nicotine strengths. Nic salts are commonly only available in either 10mg / 11mg or 20mg strengths, and TPD limited to a 10ml bottle size.

These are 0mg or nicotine free e-liquids and come in larger bottles which are only 80% filled with liquid. With the remaining space, you can add a nicotine shot to the bottle to create your desired nicotine e-liquid. For example you can purchase a 120ml Shortfill bottle which would contain 100ml of vape juice. This shortfill would be 0mg due to the TPD law. However Customers may require 3mg or 6mg, simply open the lid and add 2 x 18mg nicotine shots - 2 x 10ml or 20ml to make your 100ml of e liquid 120ml with 3mg of nicotine strength.

Start with nicotine containing liquids, you can then gradually lower the strength over time to find which strength suits you best.
